Today marked our final training session of 2025, closing out what has truly been an eventful year for our club. We grew in numbers, passed our gradings with confidence, and attended numerous seminars that broadened our skills and deepened our understanding of kendo. Most notably, we achieved our strongest performance in the Irish National Kendo Championship in recent years—perhaps even in our club’s history. The final kendo training session of 2025 will take place on Sunday, 14 December. Following this, we will take a short break for shinai maintenance. Training will resume in the first week of January 2026.

We’re absolutely thrilled! Not only did we earn ippons, but we also won some matches along the way. Our Adults Team have never made it this far before!
